A special task force begins meeting today, charged with finding a solution to the dispute over the proposed flood diversion project for Fargo-Moorhead. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton have each appointed eight people to the 16-member task force. Members include representatives from Fargo-Moorhead Diversion Authority and the Richland-Wilkin Joint Powers Authority, which is suing to stop the project. The group hopes to present its recommendations to the governors by December 15th.
