“Divisive,” say Teamsters Local 320 leaders about a final offer from the University of Minnesota on a two-year contract for over 15-hundred service workers. Union Secretary/Treasurer Brian Aldes says the offer “provides for those who are at the top of their schedule a two-percent increase, and for those who are not, there are no across-the-board increases.” U-of-M officials say the offer is fair and equitable, with salary increases consistent with those they’ve offered other union and non-union employees. The Teamsters vote on the contract later this month. If they reject it, a strike is set for January 26th.
