The Golden Gopher women’s hockey team saw three alumni selected during the 2025 PWHL Draft on Tuesday evening. Peyton Hemp, Ella Huber and Natálie Mlýnková were among 48 players selected during the six rounds of the draft.

Ella Huber was selected by the Boston Fleet with the 10th overall pick (Round 2, Pick 2). The forward from Northfield, Ill., tallied a career-high 48 points with 15 goals and 33 assists over 42 games in 2024-25. A team captain, Huber’s 33 assists led all Gophers and ranked sixth in the nation. The left-handed forward finished her Minnesota career with 140 points, 52 goals and 88 assists over 157 games.

Natálie Mlýnková was selected by the Montreal Victoire with the 12th overall pick (Round 2, Pick 4). The forward from Zlín, Czech Republic., tallied 34 points (16g-18a) over 39 games in her lone year in Maroon and Gold. The 2023-24 Hockey East Player of the Year recorded 131 points with 64 goals and 67 assists over 131 games in her five-year career between Vermont and Minnesota.

Peyton Hemp was selected by the Ottawa Charge with the 29th overall pick (Round 4, Pick 5). The forward from Andover, Minn., served as a team captain for two seasons with the Gophers. Hemp tallied 123 points (58g-65a) in 157 games over her four seasons in Maroon and Gold. She recorded 33 points, 16 goals and 17 assists in 2024-25, all career-highs.
