• Julius Randle led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 21 points and team-high-tying 10 rebounds, marking his first point/rebound double-double of this year’s playoffs (11th playoff career) and the fifth 20+ point/10+ rebound playoff game of his career and second such game in a Timberwolves uniform.

• Randle becomes the fifth player in franchise playoff history to record multiple games with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds.

• After missing the last two playoff games with an injury, Anthony Edwards returned to action tonight, recording 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-3 from deep and three assists in 25:15 minutes of action off the bench. Tonight marking his 46th career playoff game with 15+ points, the most in franchise history.

• Edwards scored 11 points in the fourth quarter of tonight’s game, his 10th career 10+ point fourth quarter in the postseason, becoming the ninth player in the NBA to record 10+ such fourth quarters in the playoffs since the 2020-21 season.

• Playing in his 25th postseason game on the road tonight, Edwards is now one of five players since the NBA-ABA merger (1976-77) to average at least 26.0+ PPG, 5.0+ RPG, and 5.0+ APG through the first 25 road games of their postseason career.

• Jaden McDaniels ended the night with 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting, five rebounds, one block and one steal, marking his second consecutive 15+ point/5+ rebound/1+ block/1+ steal playoff game, his third such game of this year’s playoffs and his sixth such career playoff game. The Wolves are now 6-0 in the playoffs when McDaniels records such a stat line and he is one of four players in franchise playoff history to record 6+ such games.

• After being tied at 45-45 in tonight’s game, the Wolves held on for a 104-102 win and a 1-0 series win. Minnesota is now 5-2 (.714) all-time when tied at the half of a playoff games.
