The Minnesota Timberwolves will host its annual Pride Night, presented by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey on Monday, Jan. 6 when the Timberwolves host the LA Clippers at Target Center with tipoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT. The celebratory evening will include in-game entertainment and recognition of organizations who support the LGBTQIA+ community.
This year’s Pride Night programming will include:
Cameron Wright | National Anthem + Halftime Performance: Wright is a vocal powerhouse with a four-octave range who has captivated audiences across the U.S. and Canada. By 11, he was a Twin Cities standout, recording a Rosa Parks tribute with Larry Long, and by 13, he caught Stevie Wonder’s attention. He’s performed for over half a million people, appeared on FOX’s STAR with his original song “My Love,” and sang behind Beyoncé during her iconic Coachella performances, featured in the Netflix film Homecoming. With his genre-defying style and transformative voice, Cameron is redefining artistry and embodying the spirit of a true superstar.
Twin Cities Pride: The Minnesota Fastbreak Foundation will present a donation to Twin Cities Pride as part of the Starting Five Grant Program, a four-year grant program that supports non-profit organizations in education, inclusion and wellness. Twin Cities Pride empowers every LGBTQIA+ person to live as their true self.
Guest DJs: DJ Chico Chi (he/they) will serve as one of the night’s guest DJs. DJ Chico Chi is a queer and non-binary transmasc DJ, producer and creative based in Minnesota and Southern California. Twin Cities-based DJ Izzie P will also bring electric energy to the night and has opened for artists CupcakKe and Leikeli47.
Timberwolves x Leeya Rose Jackson Pride Merchandise: Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition Pride t-shirt designed by Leeya Rose Jackson, a Detroit-born Minneapolis-based multidisciplinary artist and the creative force behind Leeya Makes Noise and Noisemakers Design Shop. As a Black bisexual creator, her work often explores themes of identity and transformation. Her Pride Night shirt for the Timberwolves Artist Series reflects her bold playful style celebrating connection and self-expression.
Chef Spotlight | Chef Dan Schmit: Chef Dan Schmit of Wise Acre Eatery brings farm-to-table excellence to Pride Night. Fans can enjoy his Fried Chicken Drummies with Smoky Pepper Aioli (Sections 126 and 237). Wise Acre, known for its locally grown, farm-fresh ingredients, embodies the harmony of farmers, chefs and diners.
Powered by Pride, Timberwolves Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG): The Timberwolves Pride ERG will host ERG leaders from local Minnesota sports teams for an inspiring and impactful evening. This special gathering is about celebrating inclusivity, sharing ideas and building connections among organizations working to create a true sense of belonging.
