Player Notes
• In 22:34 minutes off the bench, Naz Reid led the Wolves in tonight’s win with a season-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 3-of-6 from deep, and a season-high-tying 12 rebounds, marking his second 20+ point game of the season (50th career). Additionally, tonight marked his first 20+ point/10+ rebound game of the season (15th career) and third double-double of the season (30th career).
• Reid is the first reserve player in Timberwolves history to record a 20+ point/10+ game in less than 23 minutes of play. Thurl Bailey did so in 24:00 minutes of action on Jan. 10, 1992 at Boston.
• Tonight marked Reid’s second career 20+ point/10+ rebound performance off the bench, becoming the seventh Timberwolves player to have multiple 20+ point/10+ rebound games off the bench. Kevin Love leads the franchise in such games with five.
• Jaden McDaniels logged 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals, marking his sixth 15+ point/5+ rebound outing of the season (52nd career). After going 3-of-4 from deep tonight against Dallas, McDaniels is shooting a career-high 52.1% (25-of-48) from three, leading the NBA in three-point percentage.
• Donte DiVincenzo recorded 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-7 from three, five rebounds, and a game-high-tying two blocks, marking his fourth 10+ point/5+ rebound game of the season and his 16th in a Timberwolves uniform (108th career).
Team Notes
• For the second time this season, Minnesota held their opponent to less than 100 points. Since the 2022-23 season, the Wolves are now 48-5 when allowing less than 100 points, the second-most such wins in the Western Conference over that span (Oklahoma City).
• The Wolves shot 44-of-97 (45.4%) from the field compared to the Mavericks 34-of-85 (40.0%). Tonight marks the fourth time that Minnesota has hit at least 10 more field goals than their opponent, tied with Detroit and Oklahoma City for the most such games this season.
• Led by Reid’s season-high-tying 12 boards, Minnesota grabbed a season-high 60 rebounds tonight, outpacing Dallas’ 42 boards. The Wolves are now 6-1 when surpassing their opponents on the glass. Tonight marked the 22nd time in franchise history the Timberwolves grabbed 60+ rebounds and the first time doing so since Oct. 25, 2023 at Toronto.
• Tonight the Wolves scored 56 of their 120 points in the paint. This marks their seventh game scoring 55+ points in the painted area, tied with Detroit for the second-most occurrences in the NBA this season.
• With all five starters scoring in double-digits (DiVincenzo: 14 points, Anthony Edwards: 13 points, Rudy Gobert: 15 points, McDaniels: 15 points, Julius Randle: 12 points), Minnesota has now logged four games this season in which every starter reaches 10+ points. Along with Reid’s 22 points, the Wolves have recorded four games this season with at least six players scoring 10+ points and are 4-0 in such games.
