The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the team has signed guard Isaiah Evans. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Evans, 6-6, appeared in 38 games (all starts) for Duke University this past season, averaging 15.0 points on 43.3% shooting, including 36.1% from three, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 28.1 minutes per game. Following the 2025-26 season, Evans was named the ACC Sixth Man of the Year and named to the All-ACC Third Team. In two seasons with the Blue Devils, Evans saw action in 74 games (41 starts), averaging 11.0 points on 43.2% shooting, including 38.0% from deep and 2.2 rebounds in 21.2 minutes per contest.
The Fayetteville, N.C native averaged 17.6 points per game in seven ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament games in 2026, en route to being named to the ACC All-Tournament First Team and NCAA East Regional All-Tournament Team. On March 12, Evans posted career highs of 32 points and seven threes against Florida State in an ACC Tournament win.
Before his time at Duke, Evans attended North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, N.C., and was named the 2024 North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, a 2023-24 McDonald’s High School All-American and MVP of the 2024 Iverson Classic.
