The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team’s 2025 preseason schedule. The Wolves will play six exhibition contests, including two games at Target Center.
Timberwolves fans will have the first chance to see the 2024-25 Wolves at Target Center when the team takes on the Eastern Conference Champions, Indiana Pacers on Oct. 7. This will mark the 26th time the Wolves have played the Pacers in the preseason and first since 2019.
Minnesota will begin its 2025 preseason schedule by playing the Denver Nuggets in San Diego, Calif. on Oct. 4. This marks the first time the Timberwolves will play a preseason game in San Diego and the eighth time playing the Nuggets in the preseason.
This year’s preseason marks the first time the Timberwolves will play a preseason game against a team from China, when the Wolves host the Guangzhou Loong Lions on Oct. 13 at Target Center. The Timberwolves have previously played against an international team at home four times, most recently against Maccabi Ra’anana in 2023.
The Wolves will play an additional three preseason games, all on the road. First, with a matchup with the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 9, then travel to Chicago to face the Bulls at the United Center on Oct. 16 and finally wrap up the 2025 preseason with a matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Arena.
Preseason tickets for the Oct. 4 game against the Nuggets and the Oct. 13 contest against the Guangzhou Loong Lions at Target Center will go on sale at a later date. The Wolves’ preseason broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.
