The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the team has signed forward Johnny Juzang (JOO-zang). Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Juzang, 6-7, appeared in 102 games (23 starts) in three seasons with the Utah Jazz averaging 7.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 18.4 minutes per game. This past season, Juzang averaged career highs in points (8.9 ppg) and rebounds (2.9 rpg). On March 3, he scored a career-high-tying 27 points, knocking down five threes, while also pulling down a career-high-tying seven rebounds in a road win against the Wizards.
The Los Angeles native appeared in 85 career collegiate games over three seasons with Kentucky and UCLA, earning 2021-22 All Pac-12 First Team honors and recording career averages of 11.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 25.5 minutes per contest. Juzang played in nine career NCAA Tournament games, averaging 19.3 points and 4.6 rebounds, helping lead UCLA to the Final Four in 2021 and earning 2021 NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team honors.
The Minnesota Timberwolves also announced the team has re-signed guard Bones Hyland. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
The 6-2 guard completed his fourth season in the NBA where he appeared in 24 total games with the LA Clippers and Timberwolves. During the 2024-25 season, Hyland averaged 6.2 points on 39.8% shooting, including a career-high 39.0% from three and 1.3 assists in 10.0 minutes per game.
Signed to a Two-Way contract by the Wolves on Feb. 27, Hyland holds career averages of 9.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists throughout 186 games (10 starts) with the Denver Nuggets, Clippers and Timberwolves. He earned All-Rookie Second Team honors in 2021-22 after averaging 10.1 points on 40.3% shooting, 2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 19.0 minutes per game.
The Wilmington, Del. native, has seen action in 13 postseason matchups during three trips to the playoffs. He holds playoff career averages of 7.7 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 13.9 minutes per game.
Hyland was selected by the Nuggets with the 26th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
