Timberwolves Stop Slide

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The Timberwolves stopped a six game losing streak with a 124-111 win over the Nuggets on Monday at Target Center.  Anthony Edwards scored 29 points to lead the way for Minnesota.  Jaden McDaniels added 21 points and Kyle Anderson had 19 to not only start 2023 with a victory but it was also a fourth straight win over the Nuggets.  Denver had won 10 of their last 12 but the Wolves prevailed without D’Angelo Russell (illness), Naz Reid (low back spasms), Karl Anthony Towns (right calf strain), Taurean Prince (right shoulder) and Jordan McLaughlin (left calf strain).  The Wolves (17-21) continues this week in Minneapolis against Portland on Wednesday and the Clippers on Friday.
