Hamline University political analyst David Schultz expects President Trump will continue his war of words with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar during his campaign stop in Minneapolis in a couple weeks. Schultz says the exchange has played well with the president’s base across the U-S, and reasonably well in rural Minnesota. “Part of what he gets to do also is to play into, let us say, some resentment — including resentment against let’s say Minneapolis and Saint Paul here. So it exploits that urban-rural divide,” Schultz says.
Congresswoman Omar yesterday joined a coalition of progressive activists outside the U-S Capitol, demanding Congress support an immediate impeachment inquiry into the president.
