Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says he hopes “as early as tonight” that Minnesotans may find out who won each race, including for president, but it depends on how wide the margin is in each contest. Simon says as of this morning (Tues), over 1-million-846-thousand absentee ballots had been returned in Minnesota, leaving about 283-thousand still outstanding. By federal court order, all absentee ballots received by election officials after 8 p-m tonight must be set aside, and it’s unclear whether they’ll ultimately be included in the tally for the presidential race. Officials say so far today there’s been good traffic flow at polling places, no shortage of election judges, plenty of P-P-E, and no reports of notable conflicts.
