President Obama’s top advisor is coming to Minnesota next week (Tues) to visit the Iron Range, which is struggling with thousands of layoffs. Senator Amy Klobuchar says the situation is “clearly caused by an overproduction of steel from China, dumping of steel, illegal steel that shouldn’t be on our shores.” She says there are things the administration can do. Obama Chief of Staff Denis McDonough is a Minnesota native, which Klobuchar says will be “very helpful” in making the case. McDonough will visit Range Community and Technical College.
