A top Minnesota Republican says Governor Mark Dayton should oppose placement of Syrian refugees in the state. It’s prompted by terrorist attacks in Paris. State Senate Minority Leader David Hann says, “Let’s slow down here. Let’s just hold off until we know more about what we’re dealing with, before we open the door wide.” Governor Dayton says the White House assured him all refugees have the highest level of security checks of any travelers to the U-S. He urges Minnesotans to trust than everything possible is being done to protect their safety. Hann responds President Obama’s director of national intelligence recently said it’s a “huge concern” that ISIS will infiltrate the ranks of Syrian refugees.
