Transportation funding is likely still unresolved, as Governor Tim Walz and legislative leaders continue trying to hammer out a state budget deal with only three days left until the legislature must adjourn. G-O-P Representative Paul Torkelson from Hanska says top Republicans been “pretty clear from the get-go” that a gas tax increase is not an option. He says, “The question then is, how does that impact the transportation budget, given the General Fund situation? And that’s I’m sure one of the items they’re trying to get straight.”
