A Twin Cites area man is suing the city of Wadena because he can’t gain access to the municipality-owned liquor store. Aaron Dalton of Burnsville suffers from cerebral palsy and requires a motorized wheel chair to get around. Dalton claims that when he stopped at the liquor store last summer, there were no handicapped parking spots that complied with federal law. He’s seeking “nominal damages” and a judge’s order to bring the liquor store into compliance with federal law. Dalton claims that because he can’t shop at the liquor store, he has suffered “irreparable harm.”
