(Washington, DC)  —  Washington’s Chris Heisey  hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 16th inning to lift the Nationals over the Minnesota Twins yesterday, 6-5.  The Twins blew leads on two key occasions to help Washington earn the three-game series sweep.  Minnesota second baseman Brian Dozier hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to stake the Twins to a 4-1 lead.  Bryce Harper sent the game into extras with a pinch-hit solo shot in the ninth for Washington, while Oliver Perez earned the win in relief to complete the sweep.  The game was the longest in Nationals history.  Minnesota took the lead in the 15th on a run-producing single from Miguel Sano, but gave it right back in the bottom half of the frame on a throwing error by struggling catcher John Ryan Murphy.  Minnesota returns home to host Cleveland tonight at 7:10 P-M.
