(New York, NY) — After winning in stunning fashion this past week, instead the Twins fell to the Yankees 7-5 on Thursday night in New York. The Twins won three of their last four games on walk off R-B-I but on this night, there was no stunning come back. Instead, the Yankees built up a 6-0 lead over four inning and then held on for a seventh consecutive win. The Twins, despite the loss, have still won six of their last nine.

The second game of the four game set between the Twins and Yankees will be tonight at 6:10 P-M in New York. The Twins will put Charlie Barnes on the mound and he’ll face Nestor Cortes, Jr. Game three of the series is tomorrow at 12 :05 P-M and the series finale will be Sunday, also at 12:05 P-M.
