The Minnesota Twins announced that they have returned infielder Royce Lewis from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day Injured List.

Lewis, who has missed the club’s last 15 games with a left hamstring strain, played in three games on rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, going 0-for-8 with one walk and two strikeouts. Prior to being placed on the 10-day IL on June 15, Lewis hit .202 (20-for-99) with four doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, 11 walks, 10 runs scored and a .585 OPS in 30 games for the Twins.

To make room for Lewis on the 26-man roster, the Twins designated infielder Jonah Bride for release or assignment following Sunday night’s game in Detroit. Bride, who was acquired in a trade with the Miami Marlins on April 16, played in 33 games for the Twins, hitting .208 (15-for-72) with two doubles, three RBI, six walks and a .511 OPS.
