The Minnesota Twins announced that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Taj Bradley from Triple-A St. Paul.

Bradley, who was acquired in the Griffin Jax trade with Tampa Bay over the trade deadline, recently made three starts for the Saints, allowing 12 runs on 21 hits in 14.1 innings pitched, with just two walks and 18 strikeouts. Prior to joining the Twins organization, he made 21 starts for the Rays this season, going 6-6 with a 4.61 ERA (111.1 IP, 57 ER), 44 walks, 95 strikeouts, a 1.28 WHIP and a .236 opponent batting average. The 24-year-old was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the fifth round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft and has appeared in 69 career games (67 starts) all with the Rays, going 19-25 with a 4.70 ERA (354.0 IP, 185 ER), 130 walks, 378 strikeouts, a .129 WHIP and a .242 opponent batting average.

Bradley is scheduled to start this afternoon’s game against the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field and wear uniform number 26.

To make room for Bradley on the 26-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Erasmo Ramírez for release or assignment. Ramírez made nine appearances for the Twins, going 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA (11.0 IP, 3 ER), one save, two walks and five strikeouts.
