Dozier homered in loss
(Kansas City, MO) — Kansas City’s Terrance Gore scored the winning run on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Royals rallied past the Minnesota Twins yesterday, 4-3. Minnesota held a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning, but Royals infielder Eric Hosmer tripled in a run in the ninth and then scored the tying run on Kendrys Morales’ sac-fly. Mike Moustakas homered for K-C, which swept the three-game series. Wade Davis picked up the win. Brian Dozier went deep and Eduardo Nunez finished 4-for-4 with an R-B-I for the Twins. At 0-and-6, Minnesota is off to its worst start since the Washington Senators moved to the Twin Cities in 1961. The Twins host the Chicago White Sox today for the home opener in Minneapolis. First pitch is 3:10 P-M at Target Field.
