
Plouffe homered in defeat
(Baltimore, MD) — Baltimore slugger Chris Davis hit a solo-homer in the third to put the Orioles up for good in a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins last night at Camden Yards. Yovani Gallardo (yoh-VAH-nee giy-YAHR-doh) gave up just one run in five innings of work to get the win for Baltimore, which has taken the first two of the three-game set. Minnesota cut the lead to two on a home run from Trevor Plouffe (PLOOF) in the sixth inning. Kyle Gibson took the loss in his first start of the year for the Twins , giving up four earned runs in five innings. The O’s go for the sweep of the three-game series tonight at 6:05 P-M.
