(Minneapolis, MN) — Shohei Ohtani hit a leadoff home run to help the Dodgers double up the Twins 2-1 on Monday night at Target Field. Ohtani’s 17th homer of the season was answered by Byron Buxton’s 25th in the bottom of the first to even the score at 1-1. But Freddie Freeman gave the Dodgers the eventual winning run with a home run in the sixth and the Twins didn’t have an answer. Minnesota was held to just three hits in the loss. Starter Zebby Matthews gave up six hits and both runs while striking out five over six innings of work. The loss stops a two game win streak.
