Tonight’s Twins game at Detroit is postponed after Minnesota players voted to join a nationwide pro sports strike over the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The game instead will be played as part of a Friday doubleheader. Twins management in a statement says the team remains committed to using its platforms to push for racial justice and equality, and “fully respect our players for their decision to not play tonight’s game.” Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff said today the N-B-A protests over the Kenosha shooting are “absurd and silly.” Pence is in Duluth tomorrow.
