(Minneapolis, MN) — Ronald Acuna Jr. homered on the first pitch of the game and the Braves went on to beat the Twins 12-7 in Minnesota. Freddie Freeman hit a three-run homer for Atlanta, which led 11-0 in the sixth. Freeman drove in four, and Acuna had two RBI and scored four runs. Mike Foltynewicz pitched into the sixth for the win in his return to the majors. He was demoted to Triple-A in June after a 2-and-5 start. Jose Berrios was rocked for nine runs in less than six frames to take the loss. Nelson Cruz homered twice for the Twins, who saw their four-game winning streak end.
