The Minnesota Twins – who are 20-12 at home this season – return to Target Field tonight for their seventh homestand of the 2025 season, a seven-game stay featuring the annual “Border Battle” against the Milwaukee Brewers (tonight, Friday, June 20-Sunday, June 22) and a four-game series against American League West division foe the Seattle Mariners (Monday, June 23-Thursday, June 26).

The Twins are slated to wear their Nike City Connect uniforms for the seventh time this season tonight against Milwaukee. Minnesota is due to wear the City Connects for every Friday home game this season.

• Melissa and Mark Hortman Tribute: Prior to tonight’s game, the Twins will pay tribute to the life and legacy of former Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, who were tragically murdered in their home last weekend. The Twins will also recognize state Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, who were injured in a similar attack.
• Juneteenth Recognition: Prior to Friday’s game, the Twins will commemorate Juneteenth, which honors June 19, 1865 – the day Union troops marched into Galveston, TX two months after the end of the Civil War and announced the freedom of remaining enslaved people.
o Pregame Recognition: The Twins will recognize The JK Movement, which was founded 13 years ago and is a culturally responsive nonprofit committed to transforming the lives of young people through healing-centered engagement, mentorship and leadership development.
o Ceremonial First Pitch: A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Until We Are All Free, a human rights organization dedicated to creating pathways for economic and civic liberation for individuals disenfranchised by mass incarceration. The organization is led by Kevin Reese and Kahlee Griffey.
o Anthems: “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be performed by local music collective Ozone Creations, dedicated to amplifying the rich tapestry of Afrocentric music.
• Winona State University Night: Calling all Warriors! All those associated with Winona State University are welcome at Winona State University Night at Target Field! This group event package includes a ticket to the game plus an exclusive co-themed WSU “Twin Cities” jersey. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket purchased will support the Winona State University Alumni Association. o Ceremonial First Pitch: A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Brooke Johansen, a member of Special Olympics Red Wing since 2002 who is looking forward to representing Team Minnesota in bowling at the Special Olympics USA Games in the Twin Cities in June 2026.
o Pregame Starting Lineup: A special starting lineup of Special Olympics Minnesota athletes will take the field prior to the game.

Dr. Moon was elected the 105th Department Commander of the Minnesota American Legion at the organization’s annual convention in 2024 and has been a member of the Zimmerman American Legion Post 560 for 38 years.
Thursday, June 26 vs. Seattle Mariners (12:10 p.m.; gates open at 10:30 a.m.)
• Joe Schmit Ceremonial First Pitch: A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by former KSTP Sports Director Joe Schmit, who retired in April after 40 years at the station. Schmit is also the author of three books including “The Right Thing To Do,” a children’s book about Twins legend Joe Mauer.
• Minnesota Aurora FC: A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by midfielder Helen Schaefer from Minnesota Aurora FC. Additionally, members of the team will lead the crowd in “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” in the middle of the seventh inning.
• Ceremonial First Pitch: A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by longtime Twins (and Washington Senators!) fan Betty Lentz, whose first memories of baseball include sitting with her father while listening to vintage radio broadcasts. Betty also turns 100 in October.
