The Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians will be wearing red jerseys with a number 11 patch for their game at Target Field tonight, in honor of Jacob Wetterling (7:10 pm).

The Wetterling family yesterday asked Minnesotans to wear or add the number 11 somewhere on their person as a sign of commitment to making the world a better place for kids and to honor Jacob’s spirit and sense of fairness. The idea came about after a children’s soccer team approached the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center asking to wear Jacob’s number 11 in their next game.

The number also signified living by 11 certain traits including kindness, understanding, honesty and being positive.

There will also be a moment of silence for Jacob before tonight’s game begins.
