(Boston, MA) — Boston lefty Chris Sale pitched into the seventh to lead the Red Sox to a 4-1 win over the Minnesota Twins in the opener of a four-game set last night at Fenway Park. Sale struck out nine over six-and-a-third innings of one-run, four-hit ball to improve to 10-and-3. Craig Kimbrel earned his 21st save. Mitch Moreland homered and plated a pair of runs in the victory. Chris Gimenez clubbed a solo homer for Minnesota. Jose Berrios (buh-REE-ose) allowed all four runs in six-and-a-third innings to fall to 7-and-2. Game two of the set is tonight at 6:10 P-M. The Twins dipped into second-place in the American League Central Division, trailing Cleveland by a half-game. The Indians beat Texas last night, 15-9.
