The Minnesota Twins activated outfielder Robbie Grossman from the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday.
The Twins, who currently occupy the second wild-card spot in the American League, spent the last 18 games without Grossman after he suffered a fractured left thumb. The 27-year-old is batting .243 with seven home runs and 35 RBIs in 98 games for Minnesota.
The Twins also selected the contract of right-hander Michael Tonkin from Triple-A Rochester, moved right-hander J.T. Chargois (elbow) to the 60-day disabled list and activated left-hander Dietrich Enns (shoulder) from the 10-day DL before optioning him to Double-A Chattanooga.
Tonkin is back for a second stint with Minnesota this season after making the opening -day roster and posting a 10.64 ERA in nine appearances covering 11 total innings. He went 4-2 with a 1.73 ERA in 31 appearances for Rochester.
