The Minnesota Twins – tied for the best record in the American League through the season’s first 16 games – return to Target Field today for their second homestand of 2026, a six-game, seven-day stay against some colorful foes. First, the Twins welcome the Boston Red Sox for three games from today (Monday, April 13)-Wednesday, April 15. Following an off-day on Thursday, the Twins will welcome in the National League’s Cincinnati Reds for three games over the weekend, from Friday, April 17-Sunday, April 19.

Celebrating the passion displayed by Twins Territory on April 3 and bringing Opening Day vibes back to Target Field next weekend, the Twins announced that fans who purchased tickets directly from the Twins for the club’s Home Opener vs. the Tampa Bay Rays will receive complimentary tickets to the team’s Friday, April 17 home game vs. the Cincinnati Reds. The Friday night Target Field party will also feature a pregame happy hour – with $2 beers, $2 hot dogs, $2 snacks and a live performance by Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter Tim Mahoney and his band – as well as the season’s first postgame fireworks show.
FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO THE BIG LEAGUES
Following the Wednesday, April 15 game against the Boston Red Sox, the Twins will host the third of seven high school baseball games, with Waconia facing off against Eden Prairie. Each game will feature the pomp and circumstance of a major league game, including a public address announcer and Target Field’s full assortment of videoboards and LED screens.

• Jackie Robinson Day: The Twins and Red Sox will join Major League Baseball and the 28 other clubs in recognizing Jackie Robinson Day, as well as the enduring legacy of Robinson and his impact. Activations include:
o Pregame Performance: Fans entering Target Field will be treated to a performance by Minnesota’s Ozone Creations, an eclectic collective amplifying the rich tapestry of Afrocentric music.
o Pregame Ceremonies: Pregame ceremonies will honor the Northside Bulldogs, a North Minneapolis group dedicated to uplifting youth through character building, leadership skills and community service.
o Ceremonial First Pitch: A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Antione Jenkins, a Twin Cities-based designer, art director, painter – and commissioned artist for Target Field’s forthcoming “Baseball Heroes” mural, which will honor Black baseball legends with ties to the Upper Midwest.
o Twins Territory Flag: The Twins Territory Flag will be raised by staff from Appetite for Change, a community-led nonprofit that uses food as a tool to build health, wealth and social change in North Minneapolis.
o National Anthem: “The Star-Spangled Banner” will be performed by Twin Cities-based vocalist, voice instructor and creative Aja Darrah.
o 7th-Inning Stretch: The Northside Bulldogs will lead fans in “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in the middle of the seventh inning.
• Physics Day: Learn about the science of baseball! Prior to the game at Target Field Station, high school students can come engage with the physics of pitch trajectory, launch angles and what happens when bat meets ball.
• Postgame – High School Game: After the conclusion of the Twins-Red Sox game, Waconia and Eden Prairie will take the field in the third of seven regular season high school baseball games hosted at Target Field this season.

• UnitedHealthcare Community Champion of the Homestand: On the field prior to Saturday’s game against Cincinnati, the Twins and UnitedHealthcare will honor Lisa Lissimore as the Community Champion of the Homestand. Following her state champion playing career in basketball, Lissimore spent 34 years with the Minnesota State High School League, helping elevate opportunities for thousands of student-athletes while leading programs that recognize leadership, academics and community service. She is also a co-founder of the Shooting Stars Girls Basketball Clinic, furthering her dedication to empowering the next generation of athletes on and off the court.
