The Minnesota Twins announced that they have placed catcher Ryan Jeffers on the Paternity List.
Jeffers has appeared in 83 games for the Twins this season, hitting .254 (70-for-276) with 19 doubles, seven home runs, 34 RBI, 34 walks and a .745 OPS.
To replace Jeffers on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled utility player Mickey Gasper from Triple-A St. Paul. Gasper has hit .285 (51-for-179) with 14 doubles, 10 home runs, 26 RBI, 25 walks, 32 runs scored, a .385 on-base percentage and a .916 OPS in 47 games for the Saints this season. He has also played in 17 games for the Twins this year, hitting .176 (6-for-34) with one double, three RBI, four walks and five runs scored.
