(Minneapolis, MN)  —  Byron Buxton had a big day at the plate, including a two run homer, as the Twins blasted the Padres 7-2 on Sunday afternoon at Target Field.  Buxton started the scoring, with his career best 29th homer to give Minnesota a 2-0 leqd in the third inning, and the Twins were off and running.  For Buxton it was his fourth home run in four games to exceed his previous high of 28 set in 2022.  On the mound, Joe Ryan got his 13th win of the season as he scattered five hits over seven scoreless innings and struck out eight.  The Twins took two of three from the Padres and start a four game series today against the White Sox.
