The Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, today announced their preliminary schedule for the 2027 regular season, the club’s 67th campaign in Twins Territory.
For the third consecutive season, the Twins will play their earliest Opening Day game ever, beginning the 2027 campaign with a Thursday, March 25 contest against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. The Twins will play a second-straight Home Opener against Tampa Bay, hosting the Rays at Target Field on Friday, April 2. Minnesota will conclude the regular season at home, welcoming the San Francisco Giants from September 21-23 and the Detroit Tigers from September 24-26.
As part of the fifth campaign of MLB’s balanced schedule, in which the Twins play all 29 teams at least once, Minnesota’s 2027 Interleague home and road slates swap opponents from this season. The Twins are scheduled for 24 Interleague games at Target Field in 2027, welcoming the Washington Nationals (April 6-8), San Diego Padres (April 23-25), Pittsburgh Pirates (May 7-9), New York Mets (May 21-23), Chicago Cubs (July 23-25), Arizona Diamondbacks (August 31-September 2), Milwaukee Brewers (September 10-12) and Giants.
The Twins and Brewers will also play a three-game set in Milwaukee from July 16-18 for MLB’s “Rivalry Weekend.” Additionally, Minnesota will visit the following National League clubs next season: the Los Angeles Dodgers (March 29-31), Cincinnati Reds (April 9-11), St. Louis Cardinals (April 19-21), Colorado Rockies (May 14-16), Atlanta Braves (June 4-6), Philadelphia Phillies (June 14-16) and Miami Marlins (September 17-19).
The Twins’ 2027 schedule features 16 home games in the month of April, 12 in May, 14 in June, 12 in July, 13 in August and 14 in September. Minnesota hosts 44 of its 81 home games between Memorial Day (May 31) and Labor Day (September 6), including marquee summer series against the New York Yankees (June 21-23), Boston Red Sox (July 9-11), Cubs (July 23-25) and Toronto Blue Jays (July 26-28).
Minnesota plays each of their American League Central division rivals 13 times apiece in 2026: the Chicago White Sox (7 home / 6 away), Cleveland Guardians (7 home / 6 away), Detroit Tigers (6 home / 7 away) and Kansas City Royals (6 home / 7 away).

Additional Notes
• The Twins’ March 25 Opening Day game is the earliest in franchise history (besting 2026 by 1 day) and is the club’s fifth-straight March opener (9th overall, following 2003, 2008, 2018, 2019, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026). Minnesota’s six March games are the club’s most ever for that month.
• Minnesota opens in Kansas City for the third time in the last five seasons (also 2023 and 2024) and for the fifth time overall in Missouri against the Royals (also 1974 and 2002). The Twins also played an Opening Day contest at the Kansas City Athletics in 1962 and 1966. The Twins are starting on the road for the fifth-straight campaign and 14th time in the last 18 seasons.
• The Twins’ longest homestands of the year are a pair of seven-gamers, both in June: June 7-13 (3 games vs. Los Angeles-AL and 4 vs. Chicago-AL) and June 21-27 (3 games vs. New York-AL and 4 vs. Cleveland).
• Minnesota has a season-long nine-game, 10-day roadtrip from May 28-June 6 (3 games each at Toronto, Detroit and Atlanta).
