The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have traded utility player Michael Helman to the St. Louis Cardinals, in exchange for cash considerations.

Helman, 28, played in nine games for the Twins last season, going 3-for-10 (.300) with two doubles; he made his major league debut on September 3 at Tampa Bay. He was selected by the Twins in the 11th round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas A&M University.

The Twins now have 39 players on their 40-man roster: 22 pitchers, four catchers, five infielders, five outfielders and three utility players.
