The Minnesota Twins – who are 12-8 in their last 20 games and just 2.5 games out of an American League playoff spot – return to Target Field tonight for their ninth homestand of the season, a six-game, seven-day stay against a pair of AL foes. First, the Twins will welcome the AL West’s Athletics from tonight (Friday, July 24) through Sunday, July 26. Following a team off day on Monday, the Twins will then face AL Central division foe the Kansas City Royals for three games from Tuesday, July 28 to Thursday, July 30.

• First Round Pick First Pitch: A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Vahn Lackey, who the Twins selected in the first round (third overall) of the 2026 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
o Pregame Media Availability: Lackey will be available to speak with media at 5:30 p.m. in the pressbox.

• Reverse Signing Day: Building on last year’s unforgettable debut, the Twins and Gillette Children’s are again rewriting the script on heroism with the second annual “Reverse Autograph” event at Target Field, honoring 10 incredible kids — patients who have complex medical conditions and who showcase resilience, courage and joy through every challenge — and celebrating them as MVPs.
• Custom Baseball Cards and Pregame Signings: Every kid will star on a custom Topps® baseball card with a photo and personal “stats” — favorite activities and super strengths — and Twins players, including event champion Brooks Lee and his teammates, will collect and sign those cards.
o Pregame Recognition: The kids and their families will also be recognized on the field prior to Saturday night’s Twins vs. Athletics game.
• Gate Giveaway – Kirby Puckett Jersey: The first 10,000 fans through the Target Field gates on Saturday will receive a Kirby Puckett jersey presented by Pentair.

Thursday, July 30 vs. Kansas City Royals (12:40 p.m.; gates open at 11:30 a.m.)
• Ann Rest Ceremonial First Pitch: Longtime Minnesota state legislator and President Pro Tempore of the Minnesota State Senate Ann Rest will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to Thursday’s game against the Royals. Rest announced in September 2025 that she would retire at the end of the 2026 Legislative Session, after serving for 42 years in the Minnesota Legislature. A former high school Latin and English teacher, Rest first ran for the Minnesota House in 1984 and was first elected to the Minnesota State Senate in 2000. Over the course of her career, she became known for her passions for tax policy, education funding, transportation and transit, along with a strong reputation for bipartisanship and mentoring a generation of legislators. Rest is also a longtime Twins fan, supporting the team as a child in Viriginia when they were the Washington Senators.
