(Minneapolis, MN) – After a day off yesterday, the Minnesota Twins embark on a three-game home series against the division rival Kansas City Royals tonight. The 53-54 Twins are coming off a series win over the Athletics after Sunday’s 11-8 win at Target Field. Minnesota is three games out of first place in the American League Central Division and only a game back in the chase for the final A-L Wild Card spot. The last-place Royals are 45-62 after a 5-4 series finale win Sunday over Detroit. In fact, K-C has claimed five of their past seven games.
