June 11, 2019 By Minnesota News Network

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The Twins rallied a couple of times to beat the Mariners 6-5 to start their homestand with a victory on Tuesday night at Target Field.  The Mariners lead 3-0 early and 5-3 after seven innings before the Twins put three on the board in the eighth.  Marwin Gonzalez drove in the winning run with a single to right.  Matt MaGill got the win and improved to 2-0 thanks to a perfect eighth inning in relief; Trevor May notched his first save of the season.

The Twins and Mariners meet again on Wednesday night at 7:10 p.m. at Target Field.

The Twins continue their nine game homestand tonight with game two against the Mariners.  Jose Berrios will get the start and will face Tommy Milone with a 7:10 P-M first pitch.  The Twins have won two straight at Target Field and all but one of their last eight on their home field.
