The Minnesota Twins announced that they have traded right-handed pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations.
Woods Richardson, who was designated for release or assignment on Saturday, appeared in 12 games (10 starts) for the Twins this season, going 0-7 with a 7.74 ERA (47.2 IP, 41 ER), 25 walks, 26 strikeouts and a .330 opponent batting average. Over parts of five-plus seasons in a Twins uniform, the right-hander appeared in 65 games (61 starts), going 12-17 with a 4.76 ERA (302.1 IP, 160 ER), 124 walks and 258 strikeouts.
