MINNEAPOLIS — Eddie Rosario’s two-run, two-out homer in the 10th inning sent Minnesota past San Diego.
Joe Mauer hit a one-out single, and Rosario followed with a towering homer to right field off rookie Phil Maton (3-1) on a 2-0 count. Matt Belisle (2-2) pitched 1 2/3 perfect innings for the Twins, who have won two in a row and five of their past seven.
The Padres left two runners on after Austin Hedges hit his 17th homer of the season in the eighth to tie the score. San Diego stranded two more in the eighth.
