One child dead, another critical after falling from window in Minneapolis

One young child is dead and another in critical condition after falling from a window on an upper story of a building along the Midtown Greenway in south-central Minneapolis. Police say workers in the area saw the children fall, called 9-1-1 and provided immediate aid until officers and paramedics took over. Authorities say the children appear to be under four years of age and they’re still looking into the relationship between the two. A police department spokesman is urging residents to be aware of hazards that open windows pose to young children and vulnerable people.
