The University of Minnesota has fired head wrestling coach J Robinson, four months after questions arose about how he handled alleged use and sale of the prescription sedative Xanax by Gopher wrestlers. U-of-M Athletics Director Mark Coyle says:

Robinson’s agent said last month the U wants to blame his client for internal failures in the athletic department. Hennepin County prosecutors declined to press charges, citing lack of evidence, but the University is conducted its own investigation.
