The U-S House in a bipartisan vote has again impeached President Donald Trump. It marks the second time in his term that Trump has been impeached–and it’s the first time in U-S history that a president has been impeached twice. U-S Congresswoman Ilhan Omar spoke before the floor debate”we as a nation can no longer look away. The President not only incited an insurrection against our government but has in word and deed, led a rebellion.” In a statement, GOP representative Michelle Fischbach says “with fewer than seven days remaining in this administration, we should be focused on moving forward and getting back to work on behalf of the American people.” The final vote was 232-197. All Democrats and 10 Republicans voted to impeach Trump for inciting violence against the country in the wake of last week’s siege of the U-S Capitol building. All Minnesota House Democrats voted for impeachment, all Minnesota Republicans voted against it.
