Vice President Mike Pence flys into MSP later this morning, does a quick news conference with Republican attorney general candidate Doug Wardlow, then heads across the border to Hudson, Wisconsin to campaign for Governor Scott Walker. Hamline University analyst David Schultz says national Republicans perhaps view the Wisconsin contest as more competitive, “and maybe not viewing that there is much of a chance for perhaps some of the statewide races in Minnesota, or even for some of the congressional races.”
The latest polls show Democrats leading in the race for governor as well as the two U-S Senate contests.
