Three women at the center of sexual harassment allegations leveled at the State Capitol are asking Governor Mark Dayton and legislative leaders to set up a task force to address the problem. State Representatives Erin Maye Quade and Jamie Becker Finn, plus former House candidate Lindsey Port, say “there is no clear process for reporting” sexual harassment and the entity that receives reports “has no real authority to take action.” They say the task force’s assignment should be to recommend a new process for reporting sexual misconduct, to research best practices regarding training on sexual harassment and workplace conduct, and create a non-partisan process for investigating allegations of sexual harassment.
