The Small Business Administration says Minnesota residents and businesses affected by severe storms and flooding between June 15th and July 12th may now apply for low-interest disaster loans. The S-B-A disaster declaration covers Lyon and Redwood counties, plus the adjacent counties of Brown, Cottonwood, Lincoln, Murray, Pipestone, Renville and Yellow Medicine, plus the Lower Sioux and Upper Sioux tribal governments. Businesses and private nonprofits can borrow up to two million dollars — homeowners up to 200 thousand dollars, renters up to 40 thousand dollars to replace personal property. Outreach Centers open in Marshall and Redwood Falls on September 5th.
