Vikes announce 2016 exhibition slate

VIKINGS(Eden Prairie, MN)  —  The 2016 N-F-L Preseason schedule has been announced for the Minnesota Vikings.  The first football game to be played at the new U-S Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis will be against the San Diego Chargers in a Sunday, August 28th preseason game.  The Vikes will also host the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, September 1st to close out the exhibition slate.  Road preseason games precede both of those contest for Minnesota, which will open the exhibition schedule at Cincinnati.  That game will feature Vikings coach Mike Zimmer returning to where he was the long-time defensive coordinator.  The exact date hasn’t been released, but it will fall between August 12th-14th.  The Week Two preseason game for Minnesota will be at Seattle between August 19th-21st.  The regular season schedule has not been released.
