(Glendale, AZ) — Arizona defensive end Dwight Freeney stripped the ball from Minnesota quarterback Teddy Bridgewater with five-seconds to play to deprive the Vikings a chance at the tying field goal and the Cardinals clinched an N-F-C playoff berth with a 23-20 victory over Minnesota on Thursday night. Bridgewater moved the Vikings to the 31-yard line, well within the range of kicker Blair Walsh. But Freeney hit the quarterback’s arm as Bridgewater tried to pass. The ball came loose and Calais Campbell recovered. Chandler Catanzaro’s 47-yard field goal with 1:23 for the winning score as Arizona won its seventh in a row, moving to 11-and-2 on the season. Bridgewater passed for 335 yards and a touchdown for the 8-and-5 Vikings, who were playing without four defensive starters. Carson Palmer threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns for the Cardinals. Minnesota plays a week from Sunday at home against the Chicago Bears.
