(Glendale, AZ) — The Rams picked up their first playoff win since Super Bowl 56 with a dominant showing in the Wild Card round. Los Angeles cruised to a 27-9 win over the Minnesota Vikings at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The game was moved due to the wildfires in Southern California. The Rams jumped out to a 24-3 lead at halftime and never looked back. Matthew Stafford completed 19-of-27 pass attempts for 209 yards and two touchdowns while edge rusher Jared Verse broke the game open with a 57-yard scoop-and-score in the second quarter. The Rams will now travel to play the Philadelphia Eagles for a spot in the NFC Championship Game. Minnesota QB Sam Darnold was 25-of-40 for 245 yards, one TD, an interception and a fumble. The Vikings still have not recorded a playoff win since the 2019 season.
