(Minneapolis, MN) — The Vikings’ offense was clicking on all cylinders as they handled the Saints 29-19 in the opener of a doubleheader on “Monday Night Football” at U.S Bank Stadium. Sam Bradford completed 27-of-32 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns, two of which were to Stefon Diggs. Diggs finished with seven catches and 93 yards, while Adam Thielen led Minnesota with 157 yards and nine receptions. Rookie running back Dalvin Cook had an impressive debut, piling up 127 yards on 22 carries. Drew Brees threw for 291 yards and a score in the loss. New Orleans was held to 60 yards on 21 carries mainly split between Adrian Peterson, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram. The Saints were outgained 470-to-344.
