Kirk Cousins tossed a 15-yard touchdown to Adam Thielen with under ten minutes left in regulation to take the lead for good, and the Patriots turned the ball over on downs on their penultimate possession and ran out of time on a final desperation drive. Cousins threw three touchdown passes in the victory, while Justin Jefferson caught nine passes for 139 yards and a touchdown. The win was Minnesota’s first over New England since 2000, and the Vikings have extended their N-F-C North lead at 9-and-2. Mac Jones passed for 382 yards and two touchdowns in the losing effort. The Patriots had their three-game winning streak snapped and are now 6-and-5.
